Drink and Draw is a monthly drawing event in Hastings, I led an exploration of participants physicality in the vast interior of the Observer Building, including creating the piece 'backbone'. The workshop explored a number of ideas to record traces of direction and pattern. Large scale site specific sculptural line drawings were made by improvising, playing games and making connections.
Tape line and string clock - action drawing
Traces of direction and pattern emerge as loops and circuits are repeated. Tape-line references journey, connection and the interlacing of repeated habitual movement - it is a playful record of gestures built up over a period of time balancing the architectural and the organic.
